Insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the NA at BIBB is subject, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR serves as the legal basis.
Art. 6(1)(d) GDPR
Insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary to protect vital interests of the data subject or another natural person, Art. 6(1)(d) GDPR serves as the legal basis.
Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with Section 3 BDSG:
If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the NA at BIBB, Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with § 3 BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act) serves as the legal basis.
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR:
In exceptional cases where processing is not carried out in the exercise of our public duties, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR may serve as the legal basis, provided that the processing is necessary to safeguard legitimate interests and there are no overriding interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject that prevent this (e.g. IT security, prevention of abuse/fraud, law enforcement).
The technical operation of our website is carried out in cooperation with the agency DMK E-BUSINESS GmbH, Dresdner Straße 40, 09130 Chemnitz. The NA at BIBB has concluded a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) with DMK E-BUSINESS GmbH for order processing within the meaning of the GDPR.
This website is hosted on systems belonging to bringe Informationstechnik GmbH, Zur Seenplatte 12, 76228 Karlsruhe. The German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) has concluded a contract with bringe Informationstechnik GmbH for order processing within the meaning of the GDPR.
For technical reasons, our servers and applications store personal connection details in their log files when you access our website. However, this data is only used for the immediate provision of our services, for troubleshooting or to defend against attacks, and is automatically deleted after 14 days. Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with Section 3 BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act); where necessary, processing is also carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (ensuring IT security and preventing misuse).

The user data collected by technically necessary cookies is not used to create user profiles. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of the session. Technically necessary settings (e.g. cookie selection) can be stored in a permanent cookie for a specified period of time. The provision of this information is voluntary. The processing of the data is necessary in order to process your enquiry. The legal basis for the processing of the data transmitted via the contact form is Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with Section 3 BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act).
Alternatively, you can contact us via the email address provided. In this case, the personal data of the user transmitted with the email will be stored.
In this context, the data will be processed by the NA at BIBB and its service providers acting as processors and not be passed on to third parties. The data will be used exclusively for the processing of the conversation. Storage period: The data will be deleted after the enquiry has been processed, at the latest after 6 months, unless there are legal retention periods that prevent this.
We want to make our website as appealing and user-friendly as possible for you. To this end, it is very helpful to evaluate statistical data on usage and collect various technical details about our visitors' web browsers and computers.
Therefore, we use the Matomo programme for web statistics. Matomo is activated only if you have given your consent to statistics tracking via the cookie banner (cookie settings). Matomo works with JavaScript and processes usage data in pseudonymised form. The IP address is truncated in the process. The data is stored and evaluated exclusively on a central server operated by BIBB; it is not passed on to third parties.

The NA at BIBB evaluates this data solely for statistical purposes (web statistics) in order to improve its internet offerings. The IP address is truncated and the evaluation is carried out anonymously. The assignment to a specific person is not intended and is made considerably more difficult by the aforementioned measures.
The software runs exclusively on the servers of our website. The personal data of users is only stored there. The data is not passed on to third parties.
The legal basis for data processing when using optional cookies is your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) TDDDG (Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). You can change or withdraw your consent to statistics tracking at any time via the cookie settings (accessible via the cookie banner). The lawfulness of the processing remains unaffected until your revocation is received. The data collected as part of web statistics is stored for 6 months and then deleted or anonymised.

Your personal data will only be transferred to government institutions and authorities in cases required by law or for criminal prosecution due to attacks on our network infrastructure. Personal data will not be transferred to third countries or international organisations. Nor will it be passed on to third parties for other purposes.
